KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Taco Bell in Kansas City no longer welcomes customers into the building for a meal. Instead it is the first drive-thru-only Taco Bell in Missouri.

The franchisee owner said the location does not have a lobby or any seating inside. Instead the location is designed to prioritize fast drive-thru service and mobile orders.

The restaurant at 30th and Van Brunt Boulevard planned to celebrate its grand opening on Tuesday, Jan. 16, but said they postponed it because of the extremely cold weather. Owners are working to reschedule the event.

“We are thrilled to launch into the new year by opening the first drive-thru-only Taco Bell in Missouri,” Kara Ramirez, VP of Operations for DRG Kansas City, said in a news release. “This venture not only underscores our commitment to seamless service but also amplifies our connection with the wonderful people here.”

The new location features a dual-lane drive-thru, a vestibule equipped with two ordering kiosks, and a late-night pickup window for mobile orders.
