KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - With the record-setting cold in KC stealing the headlines this weekend, Taylor Swift’s latest appearance at Arrowhead nearly slipped through the cracks. However, her custom-made Travis Kelce jacket is too good not to talk about.

Over the course of this season, Swift has firmly established herself as a part of Chiefs Kingdom, and her wardrobe has drawn nearly as much–or more–attention as her.

From bracelets, Swift’s purchases from local businesses have encouraged her fans to follow suit, boosting sales at shops across Missouri.

This weekend, the helmet-shattering temperatures.

Swift was no exception up in her box seat, wearing a cozy-looking puffer jacket made by Kristin Juszczyk– clothing designer and wife of San Francisco 49ers tight end Kyle Juszczyk. Brittaney Mahomes, the wife of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, sported the same custom coat but made instead with her husband’s name and #15.

In a TikTok post, Juszczyk showed her jacket-making process, which she described as the “honor of a lifetime!!!!!”

Using “strictly jerseys,” Juszczyk cuts the number from the front of a standard NFL jersey down the middle so that one-half of the number can go on the left side of the jacket and the other half on the right side, separated by a zipper. The numbers from the jersey’s sleeves transfer to the jacket’s sleeves, while the name and number on the back of the jersey are similarly repurposed.

Juszczyk said she put a “nice, thick liner” in each of the jackets to keep the “girlies” warm.

Brittaney Mahomes’s jacket has the names “Patrick,” “Sterling,” and “Bronze” embroidered on one of the front pockets, while Swift’s reads “Chiefs Kingdom.” Inside the jackets, an embroidered “Kristin Juszczyk Designs” tag is hand-sewn into the lining as a finishing touch to the designer’s handiwork.

Brittaney Mahomes posted photos on Instagram of her and Swift wearing their matching jackets, writing “twinning and winning,” the latter of which fans can only hope is still true after the team’s next playoff game.
