AMC Theatres adds ‘zoom rooms’ in Kansas City, other cities
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Your next virtual meeting may be coming to a big screen near you.
Leawood-based AMC Theaters announced it opened so-called “zoom rooms” in eight cities, including the Kansas City metro.
Zoom Rooms at AMC allows companies to rent the rooms for hybrid events, meeting experiences, and other meetings. Each location features Zoom’s platform with state-of-the-art big screens and audio equipment, according to AMC.

Zoom Rooms at AMC are available at the following AMC locations around the U.S.:
- Kansas City
- AMC Town Center 20
- Atlanta
- AMC Parkway Pointe 15
- Chicago
- AMC River East 21
- Denver
- AMC 9+CO 10
- Los Angeles
- AMC The Grove 14
- New York City
- AMC Empire 25
- San Jose
- AMC Mercado 20
- Seattle / Tacoma
- AMC Pacific Place 11
AMC theaters also plans to add its spin to the 2024 Olympics in Paris this summer. Theaters across the country will show certain events on screens. The programming is scheduled to being July 27 and end Aug. 11, according to a news release from NBCUniversal.

The deal with the Olympics is AMC’s latest effort to branch out into alternative content.
AMC aired versions of concerts Dolly Parton concerts and videos starting last year that ended up being popular with moviegoers and music fans.
