Kansas City police suspect murder-suicide in deaths of 3 killed in Northland home

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Police release the identities of two adults and a child who were found dead in a Northland home Monday morning.

Officers said the victims are 38-year-old Jerel McGeachy, 38-year-old Domonique McGeachy, and 12-year-old Jerel McGeachy, Jr.

Detectives said they completed a preliminary investigation and believe Jerel Sr., shot and killed Domonique and Jerel Jr. before turning the gun on himself.

While investigators say they are still investigating exactly what led to the shooting, but they are not looking for anyone else involved.

Officers conducting a welfare check at the house near 152 Highway and North Congress Avenue found the bodies around 9:45 a.m. Monday.
