KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - City records reveal 23-year-old Dominic Biscari is back working as a Kansas City firefighter.

KCTV5 first reported the information on Wednesday based upon several sources.

Thursday, KCTV5 received written communication through a Sunshine request showing Biscari is on the city payroll in the position “firefighter.”

Both the city and fire departments communication departments ignored numerous emails from KCTV5 questioning if Biscari had regained his job.

The firefighter crashed a pumper in Westport on December 15, 2021. Three people died. He was eventually fired by the city and faced criminal charges.

But his attorney vowed to help the firefighter get his old job back, saying Dominic was devastated by the crash and his client was the victim of a perfect storm created by poor city and department policies.

KCTV5 has filed additional requests regarding backpay and Biscari’s ability to drive.

A previous KCTV5 investigation revealed Biscari had previously crashed an ambulance and crashed his personal vehicle into a KD police cruiser at the firehouse before the fatal crash.

There was also an email from a co-worker warning about his driving with the subject line “horrendous driving.”

Records and audio show the email was sent to two supervisors but no one ever followed up with Biscari himself.
