Chiefs rally shooting suspect’s sister detained after court outburst
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The sister of a suspect from February’s Chiefs Super Bowl rally shooting was detained in court Thursday following an outburst toward a judge.
Lyndell Mays, a 23-year-old from Kansas City, faces a second-degree murder charge and other felonies in related to the Feb. 14 shooting near Union Station. The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office has said Mays was the first person to pull out a gun at the rally.
Mays appeared in court Thursday for a bond hearing.
In total, three men and three teenagers have been charged in relation to the rally shooting. 18-year-old Dominic Miller police said shot the bullet that killed Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the woman killed during the shooting.
Twenty-two others were wounded, with many of them being children. Miller remains in the hospital and still has not appeared in court.
