120+ citations written during Overland Park Click It or Ticket campaign

A total of 126 traffic citations were written during the Overland Park Police Department’s latest Click It or Ticket enforcement effort.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (KCTV) - A total of 126 traffic citations were written during the Overland Park Police Department’s latest Click It or Ticket enforcement effort.

The Overland Park Police Department says that during its most recent Click It or Ticket campaign, extra law enforcement officials searched the roads for traffic violations. Out of 114 vehicle stops, the following citations were given during the enforcement period:

  • 34 seatbelt violations
  • 1 child restraint violation
  • 56 speeding violations
  • 1 texting while driving violation
  • 34 other citations

Police indicated that at least one DUI arrest was made over the course of the campaign.

“We are here to enforce all Kansas Traffic Laws and ultimately, to decrease unsafe driving behavior. Our goal is to make the roads safer for you and those you share the road with. Although the 2024 Click It or Ticket campaign is over, traffic enforcement to make the road safer never is.”
