Woman pronounced deceased days after shooting in Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Police have opened a homicide investigation after a woman found with multiple gunshots earlier in the week was pronounced deceased at a Kansas City hospital.
The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department announced on Thursday, June 20, that it has identified the victim of a Monday shooting as Taylor Thomas, 29, after she was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Around 12:50 a.m. on Monday, first responders said they were called to the 3200 block of E. Linwood Blvd., near Central Park, with reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Thomas in the yard suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
KD said Thomas was taken to a nearby hospital where her life-threatening injuries were treated, however, medical personnel pronounced her deceased on Thursday. The case is now under investigation as a homicide.
