Lawrence police respond to help amid flooding

LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCTV) - Pouring rain caused flooding and other issues across the metro Monday morning.
The heavy downpours caused flash flooding in Lawrence and had police blocking off streets as safety precautions.
The police department said it received more than a dozen calls from drivers stuck in high water asking for help, or to report damage to streets.
There’s some damage to a few roads and police ed the city’s street department so the issues can be repaired.
Other reports included a flooded park.
So far no injuries have been reported.
