Malek wins GOP primary for Missouri Treasurer

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (First Alert 4) – Vivek Malek has won the Republican primary for Missouri. Treasurer.
Malek defeated State Rep. Cody Smith and several other candidates on Tuesday.
Malek, a Wildwood resident, is an immigrant from India and has lived in Missouri for more than 20 years. Gov. Mike Parson appointed him as Treasurer in 2023 after Scott Fitzpatrick vacated the office to become State Auditor.
Malek is heavily favored to win the general election in November.
