WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH/Gray News) - Authorities in Kansas say they are investigating a wrong-way crash that took the lives of three people on Friday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a driver, later identified as Amanda Fleming, was headed the wrong way on K-96 when her Dodge Durango collided head-on with a truck.

Troopers said the collision caused the truck to spin, hit another car, and become engulfed in flames.

Randall Henrickson and his 11-year-old son Eli were in the truck involved in the crash. Authorities said they died at the scene.

Three people in the third vehicle had minor injuries.

Loved ones of the Henrickson family have started a GoFundMe to help them with funeral costs.

“Randall was a loving father of four who always put his kids before himself,” family shared. “Eli was always so loving and absolutely adored by everyone who knew him.”

Kansas Highway Patrol said its investigation remains ongoing regarding the crash.
