MSHP: Bicyclist hit from behind in Northland, later dies in hospital

RIVERSIDE, Mo. (KCTV) - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a bicyclist was hit and killed early Monday morning in Kansas City’s Northland.
According to MSHP, the crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on Sept. 16 on NW Tullison Road, a two-lane outer road of MO-9.
25-year-old Xavier Anderson of Kansas City, Missouri, was riding a bike when a 25-year-old woman in a Chevrolet Cruze hit him from behind.
Anderson was ejected from his bike and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was taken to North Kansas City Hospital where he was pronounced dead several hours later.
The Riverside Police Department assisted in the investigation.
