18-year-old Leavenworth man charged after threatening school shooting at high school
LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (KCTV) - On Tuesday, Sept. 17, an 18-year-old man was charged with aggravated criminal threat by the Office of Leavenworth County Attorney.
The attorney’s office alleges Kaden Ray Bentley made a threat involving the Leavenworth High School.
According to court documents, Bentley threatened to commit a school shooting. This is considered unlawful, felonious and the intent to place others in fear.

“Neither this community nor my office will not tolerate threats of school violence,” Leavenworth County Attorney Todd Thompson said. “My office takes any threat seriously, especially threats of gun violence involving our area schools.”
Bentley is scheduled for his first appearance in court at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
