Man having medical emergency on I-670 hits 2 cars parked to change tire
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - On Tuesday, the Kansas Highway Patrol responded to a three-car crash that sent three men to area hospitals.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. on Sept. 24 in a gore of eastbound I-670, just west of the Genessee Road exit. A gore is the triangle-shaped space an entrance or exit ramp creates when it separates from a main roadway.
According to KHP, two men driving a 2012 Dodge Ram and a 2002 Toyota Camry were parked in the gore to change one of the Camry’s tires. As they were doing so, a 67-year-old man in a third car reportedly had a medical emergency and hit the back of the Ram, pushing it into the Camry.
All three men involved were reported to have minor injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. All three cars were towed from the scene.
