Pedestrian hit, killed on Troost Avenue

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Police are on the scene of a crash that ended the life of a person walking down the street in Kansas City, Missouri.
Just before noon Thursday, Sept. 26 a person was hit and killed at 51 St. St. and Troost Ave. near the Go Chicken Go fast food restaurant and not far from a UMKC extension building.
The driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with the police.
A person in the area said the driver was driving fast, but right now police say it looks to be an accident.
An investigation is underway.
