KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Chiefs made several transactions Tuesday following injuries and a g that removed a quarterback from the Chiefs roster.

On Tuesday, Kansas City moved cornerback Jaylen Watson to injured reserve following a fractured ankle suffered in Week 7′s 28-18 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Watson had become Kansas City’s second starting cornerback alongside All-Pro third-year cornerback Trent McDuffie.

In a corresponding move, Kansas City signed cornerback Keith Taylor to an active roster contract from the Chiefs practice squad.

Following a season-ending torn Achilles injury for Cleveland Browns starting quarterback Deshaun Watson, the Browns dipped into Kansas City’s roster to sign quarterback Bailey Zappe from the Chiefs practice squad.

With the practice squad opening, Kansas City signed quarterback Chris Oladokun, who’d spent the 2024 training camp and parts of the last two seasons with the Chiefs.

Injuries in the Kansas City wide receiver room have left the Chiefs searching for answers at the position. On Tuesday, the organization re-signed Cornell Powell to the roster. Powell was a fifth-round pick by the Chiefs in the 2021 NFL Draft and scored multiple touchdowns for Kansas City this preseason.
