Winning $478 million Powerball lottery ticket sold

BUFORD, Ga. (WANF/Gray News) – Someone woke up with a winning Powerball ticket Thursday morning.
According to lottery officials, Wednesday night’s winning Powerball ticket was sold at the Quick Mart at 2155 Buford Dam Road in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
Wednesday’s jackpot was at a whopping $478 million - almost half a billion dollars.
The winning numbers are 2, 15, 27, 29, 39 and the Powerball number is 20.
Powerball winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes.
Powerball drawings are held weekly on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights.
Lottery tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
