KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The two-time defending Super Bowl champs have been ravaged by the injury bug this season. Yet the Kansas City Chiefs remain unbeaten and could be getting healthier soon.

Fox Sports NFL reporter Jordan Schultz posted to social media on Tuesday morning that the Chiefs plan to designate running back Isiah Pacheco and defensive lineman Charles Omenihu for returning from Injured Reserve this week.

Omenihu suffered a torn ACL in the AFC Championship win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Wide receiver Marquise Brown was placed on injured reserve at the beginning of the season due to a sternoclavicular posterior dislocation in the team’s first preseason game.

Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster missed Sunday’s matchup against Denver with a hamstring injury that originated in practice leading up to a Week 7 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Andy Reid told the media on Monday that Smith-Schuster, Pacheco and Omenihu are all “very close” to returning.
