KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - “We usually win a game of hide-and-seek.”

Clay County deputies announced the arrest of a 55-year-old man who tried a unique way of avoiding law enforcement following a chase.

Deputies tried to stop a truck with no license plates on Thursday in an industrial area off Missouri Highway 210. A release indicated that the Clay County Sheriff’s Office recognized the driver as Phillip Bouse, who was wanted on multiple warrants, including domestic assault and possession of meth.

Employees told law enforcement that the door only had roof access, and so deputies used a drone to find Bouse hiding inside a rooftop HVAC unit.

The sheriff’s office stated that Bouse will also face felony charges for aggravated fleeing from a stop and property damage.
