Caitlin Clark to be featured speaker at 2025 Women’s Sports Awards in Kansas City

A big name is headed to Kansas City to girls and women in sports.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A big name is headed to Kansas City to girls and women in sports.

On Feb. 4 at T-Mobile Center, WIN for KC, Kansas City’s local nonprofit working to empower women and girls through sports, announced Caitlin Clark as the featured guest of the 2025 Women’s Sports Awards. The annual awards program raises awareness and funds for girls and women in sports.

Caitlin Clark led the University of Iowa Hawkeyes to three consecutive Big 10 championships during her collegiate career and was selected first overall by the Indiana Fever in the 2024 WNBA Draft, which was the most-watched draft in league history. Clark was named the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year.

“As we recognize incredible women and girls who have made an impact through sports in the Kansas City area, it’s an honor to have one of the preeminent athletes in the world – Caitlin Clark – at the Women’s Sports Awards,” said Taylor Obersteadt, Director of WIN for KC. “Her work through the Caitlin Clark Foundation parallels the work WIN for KC does every day to emphasize the lifetime benefits of sports and physical activity.”

The Women’s Sports Awards will be held at T-Mobile Center, home to the Big 12 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships and NCAA tournament games.
