Completion of the project now has project partners, city officials and the public set up for a celebratory event. The KC Streetcar Constructors said an event will be held Monday, Dec. 2 on the east side of the future Plaza Transit Center near the intersection of Main Street and Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard.

With the Main Street Extension complete, the next step for expansion of the KC Streetcar could come north of the river.
