GREENTON, Mo. (KCTV) - Missouri state troopers responded to a crash early Sunday morning involving a young teenager, the agency reported.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified of the crash around 5:30 a.m. on Dec. 8.

The crash happened as a 14-year-old from Wellington, Missouri, was driving south on MO-131. He was reportedly in a 2002 Ford F150 with no seatbelt and skidded, driving off the west side of the road and causing the truck to flip.

The 14-year-old sustained only minor injuries and was privately driven to the Lafayette County Regional Hospital. MSHP said they did not believe there was anyone else in the car with him.

The Ford was totaled and towed from the scene. The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the crash.
