SHAWNEE, Kan. (KCTV) - On Monday, the Shawnee Police Department shared photos from a recent arrest that was further off the ground than usual.

The incident started around 9:50 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 when a Shawnee officer attempted to pull over a person driving a stolen car. At first, the driver wouldn’t stop but he soon abandoned the car so he and his enger could get out and run.

Shawnee police said the suspects ran to a senior living facility in the 12800 block of Johnson Drive, so officials surrounded the property. Using K9 officers and drones, they found the suspects hiding on the roof and were able to climb up to arrest them.

The suspects’ identities and their charges have not yet been released.
