ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV/Gray News) - A woman in Missouri is accused of intentionally running over a bank employee who was putting up Christmas lights, according to authorities.

According to a press release, officers responded to a call about a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle in the parking lot of Sullivan Bank.

Police said a bank employee was installing Christmas lights on the drive-thru section when 41-year-old Jemma Allen tried to get through.

The employee tried to tell her that the drive-thru was closed, and Allen began to argue with him. As the employee walked away, Allen accelerated and ran the victim over, causing him to fall onto the hood.

Allen then accelerated and the victim flung off the hood of her car, onto the ground. The suspect fled the scene, traveling eastbound.

Police found and arrested Allen at her house. She was charged with assault and resisting/interfering with arrest.

The bank employee was taken to the hospital for injuries.
