CINCINNATI (WXIX/Gray News) – Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s home was broken into while the team was in Dallas playing the Cowboys during Monday Night Football, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office confirmed the break-in happened a little after 8 p.m. Monday.

Olivia Ponton, a model and social media influencer, got to Burrow’s Anderson Township home to find a shattered bedroom window and the room “ransacked,” an incident report from the sheriff’s office says.

Olivia Ponton was identified on the incident report as an employee of Burrow’s. After arriving at the house, she called her mother, Diane Ponton, who made the call to 911.

Hamilton County dispatch got the call with Diane Ponton telling them Olivia Ponton was at Burrow’s home when the break-in occurred, according to a recording of the call.

“Someone is trying to break into the house right now,” Diane Ponton is heard telling dispatch. “My daughter is there. This is Joe Burrow’s house. She is staying there. He is at the football game.”

“She said someone was in the house,” Diane Ponton relayed to dispatch.

There was an officer already working security at Burrow’s home when the break-in was reported to 911, the Hamilton County dispatcher told the caller.

When deputies looked around the home, an officer advised the suspects were no longer there. Deputies talked with neighbors to get surveillance video of the possible suspects.

The break-in at Burrow’s home comes not long after the NFL issued a security memo about recent home burglaries, the Associated Press reported on Nov. 21.

The memo from the league came after Kansas City Chiefs' stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce had their homes burglarized in October. No injuries were reported in either case.

The NFL, per the AP, said professional athletes' homes were being “increasingly targeted for burglaries by organized and skilled groups.”

A spokesperson with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office stated that they do not believe Burrow’s break-in was connected to the other burglaries.
