Kansas Highway Patrol reports Christmas holiday activity, numbers lower than past years

TOPEKA, Kan,. (KCTV) - The Kansas Highway Patrol released their holiday report, which began on Dec. 24. at 11:59 p.m. to Dec. 25 at 11:59 p.m.

The activity report releveled:

  • 7 DUI arrests
  • 227 speeding citations
  • 309 speed warnings
  • 218 motorist assists

No fatal DUI-related crashes were reported, but there was one non-DUI-related fatal crash and fatality.

These numbers are lower than the numbers in both 2022 and 2023.
