Mahomes family plans to welcome 3rd child during NFL playoffs bye week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A third baby is expected any day for Patrick and Brittany Mahomes as the Chiefs quarterback goes for a Super Bowl threepeat.
Mahomes told CBS Sports reporter Tracy Wolfson that he couldn’t wait to get back to Kansas City after the Chiefs loss to Denver on Sunday. This time it didn’t seem to have anything to do with getting ready for the playoffs.

You read that post correctly.
Mahomes told Wolfson that the due date for their third child is Sunday, Jan. 12. If the baby isn’t born by Sunday Mahomes told Wolfson the plan is to have the baby on Monday.
The Mahomes’ originally revealed they were pregnant with their second daughter in July through an Instagram post that featured both of their other children - Sterling Skye, who was born on Feb. 20, 2021, and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, who was born on Nov. 28, 2022.
It seems like timing will be perfect for Mahomes to be with Brittany for the birth of their third child without the NFL playoffs getting in the way.
The Chiefs are scheduled to play Jan. 18 or 19. The team will know who they face following the first round of the playoffs this weekend.
