Plaza lights extended through Valentine’s Day

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A familiar glow is set to light up the Country Club Plaza Valentine’s night.
The Plaza announced via social media the holiday lights will now stay up through Friday, February 14th for those wanting to enjoy dinner or a night out in the historic district.
The Plaza took on new ownership in June 2024. HP Village Management purchased the entertainment district from The Taubman Co. and Macerich vowing to increase security and focus on unique shops, once a signature draw to the outdoor shopping center.
Opened in 1923, the Plaza is considered the first planned large outdoor suburban shopping center in the country and among the first to accommodate shoppers arriving by car.
