Local ‘snow angels’ brave bitter cold to help Kansans and Missourians
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The adventures a boring Saturday night will bring you.
As Kansas and Missouri residents prepared for what turned out to be a historic blizzard, Summer Gifford and Corey Sutton were looking for something to do.
“We are in the midst of an entire home renovation,” Gifford explained, “He [Sutton] ran out of sanding paper Saturday night and his arms were hurting. He looked at me and was like, ‘It is getting bad out there. We have a truck. Let’s see if there is anybody that is in a ditch or on the side of the road.’”
Sutton then made a Facebook post.
“There were over a hundred likes and comments,” Gifford said.
The couple, from Kansas City, Kansas, then made their way to serve as angels in the snow.

Gifford and Sutton are shoveling driveways, offering rides, towing cars, and picking up groceries. No matter the time of day.
“My husband made that very first post Saturday night and this mom reached out to us.” She went on, “She asked if we could get her son, so we went and picked him up and gave him a ride home. It was like 1 a.m.”
But that was only the beginning.
Three days later, the couple helped 100 people while running on close to 15 hours of sleep.
“I do not care what it is. It can be as simple as helping you down your stairs because you are scared of falling. Message me.”
