Unified Goverment puts trash collection on hold until January 13
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Waste Management for the Unified Government has cancelled all residential trash and recycling collection until Monday, January 13.
The Public Works Department said the winter storm has created significant challenges. Residents are asked to place items at the curb on on street edge on their usual collection day next week.
“We understand the inconvenience this creates for residents and appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigate these challenges,” said Diana Miles, Public Works’ Solid Waste Manager.
Because of the higher-than-usual trash volumes expected next week, residents are asked to limit bulky items as much as possible.
