KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - While it may be chilly outside, fans of the Kansas City Chiefs can now dig into a new frozen treat made just for the playoffs run.

Just in time for another Chiefs playoffs run Betty Rae’s Ice Cream has announced that a special Chiefscake Ice Cream flavor is now available at all five of its metro locations.

Owners noted that the special edition flavor features cream cheese ice cream mixed with homemade yellow cake and red and yellow sprinkles. It is available by the scoop and in pre-packaged pints. Those who purchase a scoop in stores can also get it inside a homemade waffle cone.

The ice cream parlor indicated that Chiefscake Ice Cream is expected to be available as long as Kansas City continues to advance in the playoffs.

“We will definitely keep producing it as long as we’re in the playoffs, so hopefully the next three or four weeks,” said Zach Doerfler, Betty Rae’s Director of Operations.

Fans can also find Chiefscake at metro-area Hy-Vee and Price Chopper stores.
