Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run while using East Blue Valley crosswalk

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Police Department says one man was killed late Monday night as he was crossing the street.
Just before 11 p.m. on Jan. 20, police were called to a pedestrian struck and left at a crosswalk in Kansas City.
Police arrived at Truman Road and Bennington Avenue to find a man lying motionless, suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead a few minutes later.
KD said an eastbound driver struck the man at the crosswalk and kept going in the same direction. Police are still on the lookout for that suspect.
