Andy Reid named AFC Coach of the Year by NFL 101 Awards
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - He’s done it, again!
The Chiefs Andy Reid is named AFC Coach of the Year 2024 by the NFL 101 Awards committee.
The 101 Awards dates back to 1969 by Lamar Hunt and a group of Kansas City business leaders and is the oldest active awards program dedicated exclusively to the NFL. The awards are selected via a voting process that polls 101 sportswriters and broadcasters who cover the NFL.
This is Reid’s 12th season with the Chiefs and fourth time receiving the Coach of the Year Award.
Reid also won in 2002, 2013, and 2015 making him the only head coach in NFL history to be the winningest coach of two franchises, the Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
The NFC Coach of the Year goes to the Minnesota Vikings Kevin O’Connell.
The players of the year are:
- AFC Offensive Player of the Year– (QB) Lamar Jackson — Baltimore Ravens
- NFC Offensive Player of the Year– (RB) Saquon Barkley — Philadelphia Eagles
- AFC Defensive Player of the Year– (CB) Pat Surtain II — Denver Broncos
- NFC Defensive Player of the Year– (FS) Kerby Joseph — Detroit Lions
