(InvestigateTV) — Airbags have saved more than 50,000 lives over three decades, but our investigation found your vehicle may have bogus parts.

Counterfeit airbags are a growing problem with at least three deaths linked to fake parts.

InvestigateTV spoke to an attorney who claims these counterfeit airbags can turn crashes deadly that should not be lethal.

“They aren’t supposed to shoot shrapnel at your face and neck at hundreds of miles an hour,” Attorney Andrew Parker Felix said.

Our investigators found of the millions of cars on the road, some could have counterfeit airbags, and you may have no idea.
