KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A jury convicted a man in connection with a shooting that injured two people in Westport last year.

Jurors found Deion D. Crum guilty of unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.

Court records show Kansas City police responded to the intersection of Westport Road and Broadway Boulevard on Feb. 11, 2024. The shooting happened after Super Bowl LVIII.

Detectives obtained video that shows a man, later identified as Crum, punching a man. Crum and the victim then exchange gunfire.

Officers located one of the victims suffering from a gunshot injury near the intersection. Minutes later a second person who’d been shot arrived at a hospital for treatment.

Documents show Crum also suffered an injury in the shooting.

Crum faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced at a later date.
