Suspect arrested in Clay County counter-trafficking sting operation

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Officers arrested a third suspect accused of trying to have sexual relations with a child.

Clay County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 27-year-old Kansas City, Kan. resident Josue Rivera on one count of felony attempted child enticement.

Rivera was messaging who he thought was a 14-year-old girl, when they were actually undercover detectives. On Jan. 30, deputies took Rivera into custody at the meet-up location.

This arrest came days after the arrests of two more suspects from the same sting operation.

Rivera is held on a $25,000 bond.
