Pedestrian killed in downtown Kansas City hit-and-run while using crosswalk

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A man died early Tuesday morning after he was hit while crossing the street, the Kansas City Police Department reported.

According to a report, the incident happened around 8 p.m. on Feb. 3.

A pedestrian was crossing 12th Street at South Grand Boulevard using the crosswalk when a gold four-door sedan driving north on Grand Boulevard hit him. The car kept driving in an unknown direction.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead soon after. The incident remains under investigation.
