OLATHE, Kan. (KCTV) - An investigation into a deadly late-night shooting in Olathe continues as police believe they have spoken to everyone involved.

The Olathe, Kansas, Police Department says that just after 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 4, emergency crews were called to the area of W. 127th St. and S. Arapaho Dr., about 1 block away from Pioneer Trail Middle School, with reports of a disturbance.

Specifically, law enforcement officials told KCTV5 that the shooting took place at the Wingfield Apartments.

When first responders arrived, they said they found one man suffering an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased by medical professionals.

As of Wednesday morning, law enforcement officials said the investigation remains ongoing. Everyone involved has been identified and ed. Currently, there is no threat to the public.
