AMBER ALERT: Pregnant teen believed to be in danger in Missouri

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - An Amber Alert has now been issued for a missing pregnant teenager believed to be in danger with a Wisconsin man headed through Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that it was notified by the Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, Police Department that around 7:45 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 3, Sophia M. Franklin, 16, was reported missing. She had last been seen at her home around 9 p.m. on Sunday.

Law enforcement officials noted that Franklin is believed to be in the company of Gary F. Day, 40, who was last seen at her home on Monday. A no- order was previously issued against Day for Franklin, who is around 3 months pregnant.

Investigators indicated that the pair is believed to be headed to Arkansas on an unknown route through Missouri. They were last seen in a black 2014 Buick LaCrosse that has been known to display various license plates from Arkansas (BBR20L) and Pennsylvania (KGW5186).

Franklin has been described as a white female who stands at around 5-foot-9, weighs around 185 lbs and has brown hair and blue eyes. Day has been described as a white man who stands at around 5-foot-7, weighs around 165 lbs and has blond hair and green eyes. It is unknown what either may be wearing.

Investigators noted that Day is the father of Franklin’s unborn child. The Amber Alert includes Boone, Cooper, Howard, Moniteau, Morgan, Pettis and Saline.

Anyone who sees Franklin, the Buick or may have information about where they may be should report it to law enforcement officials immediately at 911 or to the Beaver Dam Police Department at 888-304-3936.
