Woman found shot, killed in Independence apartment

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) - On Friday, Feb. 7 just before 3 a.m., Independence Police responded to calls of gunshots at the Hawthorne Place Apartments.
Upon arrival, officers found a woman shot and killed inside a building.
Police are investigating her death as a homicide and actively looking for a suspect.
