Police say new video shows Louisiana woman with Kansas City sports reporter hours before his death

KENNER, La. (KCTV) - Police in Louisiana say new video shows a woman with a Kansas City sports reporter hours before his death in a Kenner, Louisiana, hotel.
According to a report from WVUE in New Orleans, Kenner Police Chief Keith Conley said surveillance video shows Adan Manzano -- a sports reporter for Telemundo Kansas City -- and Danette Colbert in the French Quarter before the pair ended up in his Kenner hotel room.
“It kind of lights a fire and confirms some suspicions, but I will tell you we will see where the evidence leads us,” Conley said.
Manzano, 27, was in New Orleans to cover the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
Kenner Police arrested Colbert in connection to Manzano’s death and as of Monday morning had charged her with property and fraud-related crimes after investigators found Manzano’s credit card at her home. WVUE said detectives are “looking into the possibility that she drugged Manzano before his death.”

Conley said three phones were recovered from Colbert, including one from Manzano.
“That’s what you look to find when you seize that kind of evidence,” Conley said. “You want to see if it is another victim’s phone or if there is any criminal conduct going back and forth on these phones.”
Conley also said investigators are looking to trace Colbert’s movements in the last 30 days.
Colbert has an arrest record that includes prior arrests related to being accused of drugging men, stealing cash, fraudulent use of credit and debit cards, and other financial-related crimes.
