1 person dead after tree falls on home during storm

ATLANTA (WANF/Gray News) - A man is dead after a tree fell on a home during severe storms in Atlanta early Sunday morning.
Firefighters were called to a home in the Grove Park neighborhood around 4:50 a.m. as severe weather was rolling into the area.
Edward Johnson, 61, died after getting crushed by the tree. His daughter, Tamaya Jones, told WANF that she had to dig her mother out of the home.
Crews worked for hours trying to get to Johnson.
A GoFundMe has been set up to the family after the incident.
