Trial delayed for man charged with deadly shooting at Chiefs Championship Rally
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The trial for a man accused of opening fire at the Chiefs Super Bowl Rally is delayed.
The trial for Terry Young was originally scheduled to begin March 10. A judge granted a motion for a continuance filed by Young’s attorney. Documents filed in court did not specify a reason for the delay, but showed prosecutors did not object to the motion. A new trial date hasn’t been scheduled.
Young is accused in a shooting outside Union Station that killed 43-year-old Lisa Lopez-Galvan on Feb. 14, 2024.
Prosecutors charged him with second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of armed criminal action.
Two other men are also charged in connection with Lopez-Galvan’s death.
Lyndell Mays is also charged with second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of armed criminal action.
The trial for Mays is scheduled to begin Oct. 6.
Dominic Miller faces the same charges. His trial is scheduled to begin in January 2026.
