KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Clouds thicken up overnight, which will slow our cooling down and lows only drop to the mid-30s. It’s a quiet start to our Monday, with much more tolerable conditions out the door compared to the last week. The clouds should break quickly and afternoon temperatures will quickly climb to the lower 60s. Our wind slowly shifts out of the northwest as a front stalls out overhead, really not impacting us much.

Sunny skies and lower to mid-60s on Tuesday. These next two days will be a treat. With sunsets now after 6 PM, we should have some high morale around the region.

A weak cold front comes through on Wednesday, and along that front is a slim chance for a few sprinkles or a brief shower. We are keeping a 20% confidence at this time. That is our only chance of precipitation in the next week.

The overall trend is to keep temperatures well above normal for this time of year through the end of February and the start of March. Enjoy!

Sunday evening weather update

Our new week brings warmer weather and quiet conditions. Meteorologist Warren Sears talks about the huge changes in such a short time frame.
