40-year-old woman attacked, killed by her own dog, police say

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH/Gray News) – A 40-year-old Kansas woman has died after being attacked by her own dog, according to police.
Wichita police said Moeshae Thomas was taken to the hospital in critical condition Saturday afternoon and died Sunday.
Investigators said that two pit bulls, who were family dogs, were fighting inside the home. Thomas attempted to break up the fight, and she was attacked.
According to police, both dogs have been surrendered to Wichita Animal Services while an investigation is being conducted.
