Here’s the email at center of lawsuit demanding information from federal workers
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Thousands of federal workers reported receiving an email telling them to for their accomplishments while on the job.
The email came from Elon Musk, an adviser to President Trump, over the weekend.
KCTV5 obtained a copy of the mail from a current federal employee. This is what it looks like.

Although the email comes from the Office of Personnel Management and a government email address, it is not signed by the department or person who sent it. It also does not personally address the worker receiving it.
Many Americans probably haven’t heard of the Officer of Personnel Management, or OPM. It is basically human resources for the federal government.
The OPM email contains three sentences. It asks each worker who received it to email approximately five bullet points listing accomplishments last week. The email is to be sent to direct managers before 11:59 p.m. EST.
The Associated Press reported some top officials and agencies have told federal employees not to respond to the email. The FBI, State Department, Homeland Security and the Pentagon are among those departments, according to the AP.
Others, like the Education Department, confirmed the email’s legitimately and told workers to comply, according to the AP.
A lawsuit filed Monday claims the workers threatened with being fired if they do not follow the demand.
