KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A local organization has teamed up with metro area high schools to offer juniors and seniors free formal wear to step into their next milestones confidently and in style.

Urban Community Connections has announced that in partnership with the City of Kansas City Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund, the 10th Annual Project Cinderella’s Closet & Man of the Hour Initiative is set to take place at the Just Off-Broadway Theatre, 3051 Central St., on Thursday and Friday, March 13 and 14.

Organization leaders noted that the initiative gives high school juniors and seniors free formal attire for prom and graduation to ensure they step into milestone moments with confidence and style.

For many students, the group indicated that the cost of formal wear can be a barrier to enjoying these once-in-a-lifetime celebrations. With free, high-quality suits, dresses and accessories, UCC is working to remove financial obstacles and foster a sense of empowerment and belonging.

Over the past decade, UCC said the initiative has helped thousands of students look and feel their best during these significant milestones. In partnership with area high schools, students are set to enjoy an exclusive boutique shopping experience tailored to their needs.

New in 2025, organization leaders said they have launched the Teen Art Exhibit showcase to draw compelling parallels between art and fashion. Teen artists have the chance to display original works inspired by self-expression, style and transformation.
