Center School District superintendent resigns

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - After five years as superintendent of The Center School District, the school board quietly accepted the resignation of Dr. Yolanda Cargile at Monday night’s board meeting.
Cargile’s seat sat empty at Indian Creek Elementary’s Feb. 24 meeting.
The announcement was listed under the school board’s consent item personnel report stating effective February 1 Cargile was no longer employed at Center Independent District #58.
Before her time at Center, Dr. Cargile worked as superintendent at nearby Hickman Mills School District where she led for three years.
There’s no word yet on a replacement for Cargile.
In December 2021, Center School District announced Cargile was up for national recognition.
