INDIANAPOLIS (KCTV) – Chiefs general manager Brett Veach plans on Travis Kelce to return for the 2025 season amid retirement rumors for the future Hall of Fame tight end.

“How we left it at the end of the season was he was fired up, has one more year under contract,” Veach said at the NFL Scouting Combine Tuesday. “[I] still think he has the fire and desire to play.”

Veach also nixed any potential decision-making timeline for Kelce.

“As far as I’m concerned, there is no deadline,” he said. “I think we left it as he’d be back. We’re excited to get him back and get him going.”

The season would mark Kelce’s 13th in the NFL.

Head coach Andy Reid sidestepped the same question Tuesday, saying the decision was “up to Travis.”

“At this point, get out of town and relax,” Reid said of Kelce. “For right now, that’s what he’s doing.”
