Leases at 10 Kansas City locations to be terminated, DOGE says
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The DOGE agency said it identified more federal leases in Kansas City that it plans to terminate in an effort to save billions of dollars.
The information is listed under “real estate” on the Department of Government Efficiency’s website at doge.gov/savings. According to the information, leases for the following departments in the following locations have been terminated.

The locations are just 10 of the 748 leases DOGE says it has, or plans to, terminate under the current Trump istration.
The leases will empty tens of thousands of square feet of office space across the Kansas City metro.
There are also locations on the list in Lawrence, Wichita, Salina, Manhattan, Columbia, and Jefferson City.
This is in addition to four buildings in Kansas City that DOGE identified to close or sell, including the FBI headquarters and the main Department of Justice building. The list disappeared by Wednesday morning.
DOGE says the federal government can save $468 million by ending hundreds of leases across the country.
In all, DOGE lists $105 billion in savings through a combination of asset sales, renegotiations, contract and lease cancellations, and other cuts and changes.
